Aerial Ruin, based in Portland, Oregon is the primarily acoustic solo project of Erik Moggridge. Before Aerial Ruin Moggridge had an active past in the metal scene beginning with the bay area thrash/death metal band Epidemic who released two albums on Metal Blade in the early-mid nineties. Later Moggridge went on to form Old Grandad with Will Carroll (Death Angel) and Max Barnett (ex-Hammers of Misfortune). Moggridge also serves as a regular guest vocalist/collaborator with Seattle’s doom duo Bell Witch.

Caustic Records and Musica Maxica peresents the vinyl version of its newest album “Nameless Sun” limited to 300 copies. This work explores otherworldly terrain where loss and mourning give way to the vast distances of interstellar space while personal esoteric reflection is eclipsed by the violence of stellar nuclear fusion. “Nameless sun” offer us “richly evocative dark folk style makes for a head-in-hand listening experience. Yes it’s dark and minimal, evoking solitude and loneliness but also magic and mesmerizing, soothing and restorative” (Vanessa Salvia, Invisible Oranges).

The much-anticipated fifth album of the band constitutes almost a leap of faith. First time for Corde Oblique on vinyl, and first remix for the band! Two unreleased songs: "Itri" was only released in digital, but the Vinyl format gives the chance to listen to the song in the best way ever, featuring the band's main vocalist Annalisa Madonna.

The other song "I Sassi di Matera" is an exclusive remix made by the producer Salvio Vassallo using fragments of recordings the original version's instruments, included in the album "I Maestri del Colore" and featuring the Denitza Seraphim, singer from Irfan.

Songs are very evocative, they are inspired by two medieval towns of southern italy. The title "Mille anni che sto qui" (in english: "I have been living here for a thousand of years") is from a novel by Mariolina Venezia that has been a big inspiration for the composer Riccardo Prencipe, in his songs southern Italy is conceived like a wild-talented woman.
